Site Prep for a Shed: This year we decided to replace our small shed. This meant tearing down the old small steel shed, down to the base on which it stood, and building out the base to accommodate the new, bigger shed. But to do this, we needed some more sonotubes, filled with cement with 4x4s put into the ground. This was not something we could do ourselves. We got in touch with Dana Kiklis of Northeast Home Repair and Excavation, who had helped us in the past. He came to our home, saw what we were trying to do, and discussed options with us. We settled on having him drill additional holes into the ground, set the sonotubes into them and fill them with cement and 4x4s. Dana arrived with all the materials, tools (including a laser level), and the drill (12 inch wide auger bit - yikes!) and did a great job getting the cement tubes installed and set up correctly. It is wonderful to have a resource like Dana Kiklis to call on for tasks that are beyond our abilities. This is especially true during a pandemic when good help is so hard to get.
